President Adama Barrow’s inauguration was graced by a scintillating line-up of West African leaders but there was conspicuous absence of key opposition figures. The NPP could not confirm to Progress on Tuesday whether Ousainu Darboe has been invited to the event.

NPP executive Ebrima Sillah did not, until Tuesday, know whether Ousainu Darboe made it to the guest list. He told Coffee Time with Peter Gomez on Tuesday that NPP campaign manager Lamin Cham was responsible for the invitations to the President’s installation.
However, when Progress reached out to Cham on Tuesday evening, he could not say whether or not Darboe has been invited.

Meanwhile, Mama Kandeh of GDC was also noticeably absent from the inauguration.
GDC leader much like UDP’s Darboe have yet to accept the IEC’s declaration of Barrow as President.
