The case involving the Commissioner of Police, Mobile Traffic, Lamin King Colley and Omar Dampha, a private vehicle driver, was Monday heard in Chambers at the Kanifing Magistrates Court.
It would be recalled that Lamin King Colley was dragged to Court by one Omar Dampha, a private vehicle driver, for tearing the latter’s tinted glass clearance to pieces.
A police officer (name withheld) confirmed to this medium that the front glass of the vehicle is tinted and that was why Colley asked his officers to stop the car and subsequently took the owner’s clearance and later tore it to pieces.
A source at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court who spoke to The Progress Newspaper on condition of anonymity said Lamin King Colley and Omar Dampha have come to an agreement to settle the matter out of court, though the latter is still insisting he should be compensated by the Police officer for destroying his clearance.
