DLEAG records 13 drugs cases from mid-February

The Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) has arrested 14 suspects across the country in the second and third weeks of February, the agency reported on Sunday. The agency recorded 13

cases in the reporting period, it added. According to DLEAG, 52 big bundles, 68 parcels and 284 wraps of suspected Cannabis Sativa and 70 stones of Hashish were confiscated during the period under consideration.

The regional statistics of the arrests showed that six were apprehended in the West Coast Region with 10 bundles, 30 parcels and 194 wraps of suspected Cannabis Sativa and two stones of Hashish.

Meanwhile in the Kanifing Municipality, 42 big bundles, 38 parcels and 57 wraps of suspected Cannabis Sativa and stones of Hashish were reportedly seized from five suspects arrested in the West Coast Region and Kanifing Municipality. Elsewhere in the country, three possession cases involving three individuals were reported in Lower River and Central River regions.
