“Police in West Coast Region, on Wednesday 19th January 2022, intercepted a VW Volkswagen with registration number KM 6535D carrying goats numbering five with mouths silo tapped and hidden in the trunk of the car.
An investigation has been opened into the case to establish ownership of the animals and possible prosecution of perpetrators. The suspected stolen animals are currently with the West Coast Regional Police Task Force at Banjulinding Station.
Members of public are encouraged to come forward, particularly residents of Brikama and its surroundings to identify and establish ownership.
Meanwhile, the public is equally urged to volunteer useful information as investigations are ongoing”, the police wrote.
